DFAR or Defense Federal Acquisition Requirements - option DF
The
DF option is a reference to the fact that the ball meets Defense
Federal Acquisition Requirements, or DFAR. This means that the ball’s
material meets certain manufacturing standards.
Dry Pack - option DP
The
DP stands for “dry pack.” Most steel products are packed in a
protective oil. This helps to prevent rust and corrosion. When a ball is
dry-packed, it means that it will be shipped dry without any rust
preventative oil.Special Passivation - option PV
Thomson passivates all stainless steel ball bearings. The PV option is used if a special passivation is to be specified.
