Thomson's LC3000 Lifting Column gives your application a simple, all-in-one
solution - perfect for medical and ergonomic automation applications.
Made with a three-piece extrusion, 3000 N loading capacity and
a ballscrew drive mechanism, the LC3000 provides a high loading
capacity and high moment loading.
Its aesthetic, anodized aluminum extrusion design eliminates the need to shroud or cover. It even meets materials requirements for most medical applications.
The LC3000 units come standard with integrated end-of-stroke limit switches and pre-drilled mounting holes for easy installation. Once installed, zero maintenance is required.

Thomson introduces the benefits of synchronizing multiple lifting columns using a single control device. This video shows how to zero-out the encoder feedback devices on all columns - even with offset loading. Can be used in applications such as large ergonomic workstations or medical table beds.
Kyle Thomson, Lifting Columns Product Line Manager, discusses various medical and ergonomic applications for Thomson lifting columns and provides details on the many functionalities and benefits of column technology. Also include is an interview with a leading manufacturing engineer from Videojet who shares how they integrated lifting columns into their manufacturing processes to increase employee safety.

The nominal voltage required to operate the actuator.
Actuators use three different types of screws depending on the configuration and load requirements of the actuator.
The load rating is the minimum amount of force the actuator will provide during its lifetime.
DC actuators have a direct load/speed relationship. As the load increases, the speed of the dc actuators decreases. There are curves on each product in the catalog to show the speed from no load to full rated load.
The maximum speed of the system without any load.
This value is the maximum extension of the actuator system itself. Your max application length should be within the selected range. Each system, however, can be ordered in shorter standard or customizable lengths.
The connection to the motor.

* Control will shut off if duty cycle is exceeded and automatically reset when cooled off.
** DCG-280 monitors the encoder pulses and not the motor currents. If the pulses arrive too slowly or not at all it will stop the motion of the lifting column.
