6/23/2016 | How to Reset the Keyway Location of a CB Series Wrap Spring Clutch

2016.06.23 - Bideford, UK – Thomson Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of mechanical motion control solutions, has released an educational video that guides design engineers through the process of resetting the keyway location of a Thomson CB Series wrap spring clutch. This product accurately starts and stops loads driven by a continuously rotating power source.

“The process is a simple operation,” said John Pieri, Senior Product Line Manager for Clutches and Brakes at Thomson. In the video, Pieri demonstrates how to correctly reset the keyway location, stating, “Simply insert a tool - in this case a metal straight edge - into the clutch retainer ring, and pull up the ring until it hits the clutch spring.”

Thomson strives to continually innovate and lead the marketplace in linear motion solutions and share their application engineering and technical expertise. To that end, Thomson has authored a wide range of educational videos, webinars and technical white papers available now at http://www.thomsonlinear.com to inform and guide design engineers, explain technology alternatives and simplify the linear motion component selection process.
