Our Design Engineers are responsible for developing innovative products and technical solutions to solve critical issues for our customers, while meeting performance, cost and quality requirements. Using state-of-the-art computer-aided design and analysis tools, they create new designs, modify existing designs and maintain our standard products. They partner with the operations, product management, sales and supply chain teams to provide the best solutions to our customers.

These roles are ideal for those with a high level of initiative who are mechanically and mathematically inclined, curious, hands-on, innovative and collaborative. 

Examples of Engineering roles include Lab Technician, Designer, Design Engineer (mechanical and electrical), Test Engineer and Engineering Manager. We also have roles that do not require a 4-year technical degree but are critical in supporting the Engineering function. These include Lab Technicians, Designers and CAD Drafters.

Our Finance team covers a wide range of financial management and accounting activities from bookkeeping, processing transactions, supporting audits and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and maintaining the general ledger to conducting detailed analyses, and providing information and guidance to assist leaders in making strategic decisions. This team works closely with other departments to ensure the orderly management of business activities. They are responsible for financial planning and budgeting, producing financial statements, ensuring robust financial controls, and managing our cash flow and working capital.

Finance is a great place to learn the inner workings of the business. Detail orientated, analytical, collaborative and conscientious people may find a home on our Finance team.

Opportunities on our Finance team include roles in Accounts Payable, Credit & Collections, General Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and site Controller roles.

Our Human Resources (HR) team is responsible for ensuring that we have a diverse mix of the right people in place to power our business. This team is responsible for staffing, employee engagement, compensation and benefits programs, talent management, and a number of other people-oriented processes. They collaborate extensively with other departments on a daily basis, and serve a primary role in building and reinforcing our culture.

The HR function is a great place for strong, inclusive communicators who are strong problem solvers, collaborators, coaches and relationship builders with a high interest in helping people achieve their career aspirations.  

Opportunities within the HR team include HR Generalist and Manager roles as well as specializations in Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Compensation & Benefits.

The Thomson manufacturing teams produce the high-quality products and parts that our customers rely on. This team is directly involved in the manufacture, assembly and shipment of our products, and is heavily involved in real-time problem solving and improvement on the production floor.

The Manufacturing team is an ideal training ground for many people and can lead to roles in Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Customer Service, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Management, and more.

We employ Assemblers, Machinists, Material Handlers, Shipping & Receiving Coordinators, Team Leads, Supervisors, and Operations Managers in our sites around the world.

Our Marketing Communications team is primarily responsible for creating demand for Thomson products. They develop and manage all of our front-end customer-facing mediums such as printed collateral, our online presence, eCommerce, and messaging via various other media. In addition, they strive to understand the needs and buying behaviors of our customers and translate that knowledge into action. This team is also heavily involved in new product launches.

Strong communicators who are highly collaborative, creative and technically capable may be a good fit with our Marketing Communications team.

Disciplines within Marketing Communications include content development, project management, software development, web development, eCommerce and trade show management.

Operations is a multi-discipline team that supports the manufacture of Thomson products. These teams are site-based and are involved in Quality Assurance, Supply Chain (Purchasing, Planning, Sourcing and Logistics), Manufacturing Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Maintenance, and the continual improvement of or products and processes.

Hands-on, collaborative problem solvers thrive in our Operations organization. They interact heavily with others on the Operations team as well as Engineering, Finance, HR, Product Management and Sales, and are critical to the timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers. Never satisfied, we are always looking for ways to improve our efficiency and customer outcomes.

Operations team members typically have career opportunities for managerial roles as well as various roles within Operations, Sales and Engineering.

Product Management serves as a strategic navigator, driving the organization to achieve profitable growth for their product portfolio and shaping the portfolio through robust lifecycle management. This team owns product line growth, margin expansion initiatives, market research and development, portfolio management, and financial forecasting and analysis. They collaborate with cross-functional teams around the world to bring products to market that solve our customers’ needs.

Roles in Product Management are ideal for those strong communicators who think strategically and are highly collaborative, customer-focused, and have an aptitude for numbers and analysis.

Our Customer Service, Inside Sales and Applications Engineering teams provide critical support to our customers, distributors and our field-based sales professionals.
